Announcing first revenue transaction, ETV Motors says it is on-track for creating the batteries that the global electric vehicle industry needs (21-Nov-10) ETV Motors Ltd. of Herzliya, Israel, announced its first substantial contract based on ultra-high-energy High5ive™ battery cell technology. CEO Dror Ben David said the privately-held company signed a two year, approx. US$2 million agreement for the development and delivery of specialty batteries for aviation applications. The customer is a global aerospace company. High5ive Batteries Take to the Air (11-Nov-10) ETV Motors Ltd., a technology start-up focused on developing innovative battery technology for electric vehicles, announced today it had successfully demonstrated the ability of its high-voltage battery technology to propel a radio-controlled airplane. The demonstration took place in Israel’s Negev desert at a test site north of the city of Beer Sheva. “The significance of ETVM’s achievement is that a high voltage lithium-ion battery pack produced in our labs proved it can deliver substantially longer flight duration than a conventional battery pack of similar size and weight,” said ETV Motors chief executive Dror Ben David. ETV Motors signs $2M battery contract with aerospace
company [24-Nov-10] ETV Motors signed a 2-year, approx.
US$2-million agreement for the development and delivery of specialty
batteries for aviation applications. The customer is a global
aerospace company. This marks the first substantial contract based
on the company’s high-energy High5ive battery cell technology.
High5ive battery cells feature a Lithium Ion NMS (nickel manganese
oxide spinel) cathode of proprietary formulation and design.
Together with the electrolyte, anode and additional components, they
make up the high-voltage, high-energy and high-power cells that will
be the components for high-performance, large-format batteries.
