Board Members

David Anthony (Chairperson) is an experienced entrepreneur, venture capitalist, and educator. Since founding 21Ventures in 2003, the fund has provided seed, growth, and bridge capital to over 39 technology ventures across the globe. Mr. Anthony sits on the board of portfolio companies Agent Video Intelligence, 3GSolar, BioPetroClean and VOIP Logic, and on the board of directors of publicly traded Entech Solar, where he functions as chairman of the compensation committee. He is an Adjunct Professor at the New York Academy of Sciences (NYAS) in Manhattan. In 1995, David launched Notorious Entertainment, a developer of multimedia brands, which published the internationally distributed magazine, Notorious, and developed an early streaming website. In 1998, he sold the company to entertainment mogul Sean “P. Diddy” Combs, and ran the company for two subsequent years. Before Notorious, Mr. Anthony, with Dartmouth College professor Dr. John K. Shank, consulted for Fortune 500 clients on capital investments, mergers and acquisitions, and entrepreneurship. David received his MBA from The Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College in 1989 and a BA in economics from George Washington University in 1982. He is an entrepreneurship mentor at the Land Center for Entrepreneurship at Columbia University Graduate School of Business. Dror Ben David is Chief Executive Officer and a founder of the company. Throughout a twenty-five year military career, Mr. Ben-David held a series of top-level operational and management positions in the Israel Defense Forces. On returning to civilian life, he became a senior manager in Matrix Group, one of Israel’s largest information technology service providers, focusing on the management of strategic consulting to large corporations and organizations in the areas of information systems, security, and strategic organization. Mr. Ben-David has served as non-executive chairman of Al Cielo Ltd., a developer of fiber-optic technologies for telecommunications, and is currently a board member of several technology companies, as well as a noted commentator on strategic matters. He holds a BA cum laude in physics from Technion - Israel Institute of Technology.

Eyal Lifschitz is the CEO, General Partner and a Co-Founder of Peregrine Ventures. Mr Lifschitz serves on behalf of Peregrine Ventures on the Boards of Valtech Cardio Ltd, NLT Ltd. and CardioGard Ltd. Prior to founding Peregrine Ventures, Eyal co-founded numerous medical technology companies including: 1990 to 1994. Director of Business Development, PharmaSys (acquired by Elan Corp. NYSE:ELN), 1994 to 2001. General Manager, ECR (acquired by AVX Corp. NYSE:AVX), 1997 to 2001 Director of Business Development, Visioncare Ophthalmic Technologies 1999 to 2001, Director of Business Development, BioControl Ltd. Eyal also served as a Director of Given Imaging (NASDAQ: GIVN) 2003-2007.

Dr Arieh Meitav - Chief Technology Officer of the company, and respected as one of Israel’s pre-eminent electro-chemists and materials engineers, Dr. Meitav has more than thirty years of industrial experience in managing interdisciplinary R&D projects. As manager of engineering and R&D at Tadiran Systems in the nineteen-eighties, Dr. Meitav led the development of several lithium ion technologies. In the early nineties, he was a founder and senior manager at Electric Fuel Ltd., a developer of zinc-air batteries for portable devices and transportation systems. He went on to found ECR Electrochemical Research Ltd., developing an innovative capacitors technology. He led the company to a successful exit when it was acquired by AVX, a unit of Kyocera Corporation. Dr. Meitav holds a B.Sc. in chemistry, an M.Sc. in electroplating and electro-analytical chemistry and a Ph.D. in electrochemistry and materials engineering, all from Tel-Aviv University. He has authored more than a dozen patents as well as numerous international publications and serves an advisor to Peregrine Ventures, one of Israel’s leading venture funds.

Dr Neal Naimer has been involved in the management and development of disruptive technologies for over 20 years. Between 2005 and 2007, he was president of the Power Sources Division at Arotech Corportation (Nasdaq:ARTX). He was their Chief Technology Officer from 2002, Vice President from 1997 and from 1990 he was their Director of Electrode Engineering. From 1987 to 1989, he was the Manager of Chemical Vapor Deposition (Thin Films) at Intel Electronics in Jerusalem, and was Project Manager of photovoltaic IR detector development at Tadiran Semiconductor Devices in Jerusalem from 1984 to 1987. Prior to that he was engaged in GaAs microwave device developement at GEC Hirst Research in the UK. Dr. Naimer was educated at University College of London, England, where he received his B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering and a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering.

Alexander Zinigrad - A founder of ETVM, Mr Zinigrad is the Chief Executive Officer of Ariel – University R&D Company Ltd., the technology transfer company of the Ariel University Center (one of the founding shareholders of ETVM.) Mr Zinigrad has more than a decade of experience in managing start-up companies and international R&D projects and serves as a board member of several start-up companies. He holds a M.Sc. in Materials Science and Mechanical Engineering from Urals State Technical University.
